Information Security Training

Everyone who has access to information has a role to play in keeping that information secure. Here at Kalamazoo College we want to increase the information security awareness of College employees and do so through an online resource called “Securing the Human.”

Employees of the Kalamazoo College community including administrative, support staff, faculty, and selected Facilities Management staff are required to complete the Securing the Human training.

Securing the Human

There are a number of modules within the Securing the Human training. Topics include the following:

  • Email
  • Web browsing
  • Passwords
  • Data security

Each module takes about two to four minutes, and the total time to complete the is less than 30 minutes. Employees required to complete this training will receive an email via securingthehuman.org with instructions on how to log in and complete the training.

Accessing the Training

The Securing the Human training can be accessed by using your long form email address (first.last@kzoo.edu) and KNET password logging into the Securing the Human Library of Training Videos. From there you can select which module you would like to complete.
